Pirelli blitz the podium at the third round of the ‘Internazionali d’Italia’ with Frossard leading the way on the works Yamaha
Castiglione del Lago, 4 March 2012 – Another triumphant day for Pirelli was celebrated with AMA Supercross victory at Daytona as James Stewart and Davi Millsaps grabbed first and second positions with the Scorpion SX while at the Internazionali d’Italia the Scorpion Mx dominated all three classes, MX1, MX2 and Elite. In the latter division Steven Frossard, using the MidSoft 32 front and rear as selected by other Pirelli riders, raced to his third consecutive win on the Yamaha 450 in front of David Philippaerts and Antonio Cairoli. Thanks to this latest performance - and superiority in the series so far - the Frenchman only needs to be present at the final round to mathematically secure the championship. Also impressive was Yamaha team-mate Christophe Charlier who glided to his second win on the trot in front of MX2 points leader Alex Lupino. The fourth and final round will take place on March 25th at Odolo.
